This is our 2nd time relying on Ilya to wire dedicated wires for our place. Ilya sent his 2 crew members and completed the work in under 3 hours. They spent a lot of time prepping my floor, bed, table, etc. with dust containment before work. Very meticulous and cautious about creating a safe and clean work environment.   These guys are the real deal. We had a tight deadline because of undue pressure from another contractor and luckily Ilya was able to accommodate us last fall.  The communication was great!   This review is long overdue. Ilya And his crew are first rate. He will give you options after a discussion of your wants and a thorough assessment of your space. He doesn't make promises he cannot keep just to make a deal. His attitude is no nonsense yet patient. He will do whatever he can to make your project a reality, but is upfront with setting realistic expectations. Prices are very reasonable for Manhattan and the quality of work. He and his crew were neat, and paid attention to detail. He was also more than gracious dealing with my difficult coop managing agency that required proof of vaccination, IDs, licenses, COI, disability and SOW.

SOW included adding a dedicated line for my AC, combining two lines to one switch, installing several lighting fixtures, and repositioned and stabilized 9 outlets throughout my apartment. They completed in two days because they found some of the old wiring had to be replaced in our prewar apartment.

I've worked with numerous other electricians and construction crews, and Ilya is the most honest, professional and skilled that I've experienced. I only wish he did more than electrical work.

  Asset helped me replace a burnt-out outlet and replace a couple of regular outlets with GCFI versions. The owner was very transparent with the pricing.  Quoted me one price to show up and replace the burnt outlet.  I then asked how much more to replace the other two outlets and he said no additional charge if they can be done within the same time the base service call covers, otherwise they charge at 30 minute increments. Another electrician wanted an extra $80 outright for the same work.   The two techs showed up on time and voluntarily took off their shoes before entering my home, which never happens with service providers (cable guy, plumber, etc).  I usually have to ask them to remove their shoes and some will give an attitude about it.

They did their work and cleaned up the debris.  One of the outlet covers was lopsided when the guy screwed it in.  He noticed it and reinstalled it without me having to ask him.  Overall very fair / transparent pricing and very good service.  These techs actually care!! This is my go-to electrician from now on.  Highly recommended.

  Bought a home in Brooklyn and the home inspector noted that the house only had one active leg of power coming to it from the street.  Everything was fine with the power in the house but I wanted to upgrade the service for the future, so I called Ilya.  He is to-the-point and knows what he is doing.

He came by my home to look at what I had as he couldn't tell the scope of work over the phone and gave me a free quote based on if con ed could pull new wires through my original conduit.  Of course, although the conduit was fine, con ed said they needed us to dig a new conduit to run wires from a different part of the road.  Ilya worked with me on a revised quote and I think I got a fair price considering the scope of work.

Ilya and his crew did a great job trenching and drilling out everything and running the new conduit and sealed everything up into the house.  Two days later there was a massive rainstorm causing tons of basement flooding in Brooklyn, but not a drop of moisture came into my basement from where they sealed everything, couldn't have been happier.

After con ed approved the work, Ilya and his team worked with them to time when con ed could pull the new wires, turn off my existing power, and rewire everything to my new panel from the old one.  He put in a huge new panel with plenty of space to add breakers for the future and everything was installed very clean.

Overall my moderate job ended up being a large job and Asset was great throughout the whole thing.  The DOB approved all the work at the end and months later everything is still perfect.  I know who I'm using for all my future electrical work.

  I thought I had already left this review a long time ago but apparently did not, so here it is at last. Sorry for the delay Ilya.

The first floor unit of my building is a commercial unit. These bozos were doing some electrical work downstairs and oops they completely cut off the lines that power the thing (hot water heater? furnace? something) that heats the entire building.

Ilya rolled up. Saw the mess that was in the basement and was able to connect the heating system to the grid in the building again.

He somehow also casually managed to get the boiler going so I didn't have to  pay a plumber to do it, without me even asking him to.

Everyone needs a reliable roster of technicians, plumbers, auto repair guys etc.

I'm happy to have worked with these guys so I know anytime i have an electrical issue, I got "a guy" who can take care it.
